Can't Hurt Me (David Goggins) Book Review
⏱ The Book in 30 Seconds or Less
David Goggins had an absolutely terrible upbringing. From an abusive father, to problems with alcohol, divorce, getting his ass kicked in Navy Seal training (BUD/S) multiple times, Goggins has been through a lot. In this book he talks about all of the stuff he's gone through and how he has been able to pull himself out of negative mindsets and achieve great things by learning how to control his own mind and build his mental toughness. This book tells his story from his troubled past to completing multiple Ultra Marathons, breaking the Guinness World record for pullups completing 4,030 in a single day, and everything else he's accomplished with an insane level of intensity- Can't Hurt Me is the story of a true specimen.

📚How Did I Come Across This Book?
I've seen so many David Goggins clips on YouTube. He seems like such an intense guy, and I've heard from many people how intense he can be when it comes to achieving insanely challenging goals. Did a bit of googling while looking for motivational resources after signing up for my first post-COVID half-marathon and voila, I found Can't Hurt Me on Audible.
🏆 My Verdict
Remarkable life story that definitely gave me a lot of helpful perspective when it comes to things I'm trying to accomplish or overcome in my own life. His level of intensity is definitely extreme, and I think that for most people to be able to take things from this book you need to be able to tone things down when applying them to your own life. I give it a 7.5/10! Great book that's definitely worth a read or listen!
